Tamil Nadu Agricultural University has become the leader in promoting Agribusinesses in the whole country. Technology Business Incubator functioning under the ABIS was establishing in 2011 with funding from GoI – DST with the aim of supporting agripreneurs, farmers, student entrepreneurs and other stake holders. The ABIS – TBI is the RKVY RAFTAAR – RABI centre from 2019 funded by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, RKVY Division, New Dehi. ABIS-TBI is also NIDHI - EIR centre from 2020 funded by GoI – DST – NIDHI. ABIS – TBI is also a SISFS centre from 2022 funded by Ministry of Commerce and Industry, New Delhi. ABIS – TBI is also a NIDHI – PRAYAS centre from 2023 funded by the GoI – DST, New Delhi.

The incubation concept has gained momentum across the globe and has resulted in successful development of companies from IT to agriculture. Recognizing this trend, Government of India, DST-NSTEDB has established "Technology Business Incubator" (TBI) in TNAU, Coimbatore.
TBI strives to serve as a one stop solution to all Innovative entrepreneurs who are interested in agribusiness in the areas of food processing, farm machinery,horticulture, renewable energy,wealth from agricultural wastes, Bio-inputs, organic Farming, Vertical Farming - Aerophonics, Hydrophonics & Aquaphonics method of crop cultivation,AI & IOT-Smart Farming Systems and Agricultural Drones.
